Advisor: Dr. Hossein Kazemi

Bio: I have a diverse background in industry and academia in different positions including engineering, sale, and research. I am currently working with Reservoir Characterization Project (RCP) constructing a reservoir compositional model of Eagle Ford to optimize well spacing, and obtain a better understanding of reservoir and SRV properties. Besides my research, I enjoy spending time with my family, go hiking, sightseeing, and gardening.

Bio:  Balnur was born and raised in Aktobe city, located in northwestern Kazakhstan. Graduated in May 2019 with a B.S. in Petroleum and Natural Gas Engineering  with minors in Mathematics and Petroleum Geology from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology. Currently pursuing M.S in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines and a member of RCP team in the role of Petroleum Engineer on ChalkBluff Project. The research includes Optimization of Hydraulic Fracturing and Well Spacing.
